| 'Watchmen' Teaser Trailer | ||||
| A friend of mine who's working on pre-publicity on the film asked me to come up with some ideas for the teaser trailer for the Watchmen movie, due out in summer 2006. This is one of my all-time favourite books, and so I was salivating at the chance of coming up with something.
I used some of Rorshach's lines from the book - as a nod to the wise. A sinister, otherworldly voice narrates as the camera swings incredibly close across the face of a clock, slowly revealing the first flecks of blood as the second hand ticks towards midnight. Then a large glob of blood slides down the upright hands of twelve - we follow it, tipping down to follow it as it drips of the bottom of the clock, and falls away into the blackness. A button accelerates out of the dark, and the drop splashes in super-slow motion to pull back to reveal the iconic image from Watchmen. Bean juice... Paul Greengrass is directing a David Hayter script - rumoured cast are John Cusack as Night Owl, and Daniel Craig as Rorshach. I can not wait. Nothing ended up happening with it, but enjoy my teaser trailer anyway... |
