| Cool Hill Films has been making short films, music promos, documentaries and quality commissions since 2001. Award winning writer/director Tom Bainton has had two premieres at the Cannes Film Festival.
There are also a couple of features in development - 'Her, My Liar' is the ultimate rock n' roll thriller, while 'Binary Man' is a sci-fi thriller which could be pitched as 'Multiplicity' meets 'The Fly'. The films and promos on the site are both available to view in large and small formats - if your broadband is 8meg or more, the large movies should stream quickly, as the average movie size is 10meg. Alternatively check them out in the small format. News 5.6.08 Work begins on a new script - a horror, 'Self Storage'. The story has been written with Simon King of Yokon Films, and so now the business of writing the screenplay begins. And then we find the money... Lots of work on for clients, and have just delivered something for BBC Worldwide. And - all new blog section - so check out what we've been up to. And hello if you're visiting from South Africa, where 'Unrequited' has been selected for a covermount DVD for Maxim. 18.08.07 Long time since the site has been updated, so apologies. But we've been very busy. Her, My Liar is getting tidied up before being pitched to all and sundry, and Tom was commissioned to shoot a lot of live visuals for Underworld for their current tour. Plus we've moved - new contact details on the contact page... Oh - and The End of the Line is now available for sale through the website www.farewellroutemaster.co.uk. Julien Temple used some Super8 footage shot by Tom at previous festivals. We here at Cool Hill can't recommend this documentary highly enough (and not just because we're in it) - it captures perfectly the fun, music and madness that is Glasto. Roll on 2007. 10.03.06 Disaster. Injury stops filming. Due to a tumble down stairs, shooting for this years Straight 8 Cannes entry has had to be abandoned.
